Julio Kohji, is an award-winning graphic designer recognized by the Society for News Design. Raised in Uruguay by a Japanese parent, he has been based in Japan since 1996. During his tenure as art director at Metropolis magazine in Tokyo from 2007 to 2016, Julio Kohji honed his multidisciplinary skills, with his work being showcased in various news media outlets. Since 2017, he has been working independently, crafting visual experiences through graphic design, photography and videography for reputable clients including JTB, Pasona Group, adidas, Tokyo American Club and Suntory, along with various government-related projects.
